  • 1kilograms chuck steak, cubed into 2cm
  • 2 brown onions, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic , crushed
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 2teaspoons ras el hanout
  • 1/2teaspoons Harissa pasta
  • 1/4teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground
  • 3/4 cup diced tinned tomatoes
  • 1tablespoons lemon juice, or 1/2 preserved lemons rinsed and chopped
  • 2teaspoons honey
  • 1tablespoons coriander, chopped
  • 2tablespoons flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • 2tablespoons pine nuts, toasted

Description

Beef tagine done in a slow cooker.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Trim and cut beef into 2cm cubes. Place olive oil in frying pan and in batches brown beef.

Step 2 of 3

Place beef into a slow cooker and add remaining ingredients (except holding 1 tbs parsley and pine nuts for garnish). Stir until mixed.

Step 3 of 3

Slow cook beef for 8 hours or until beef is tender. Serve with couscous and steamed green beans. Scatter pine nuts and parsley before serving.
