Description

When it comes to choc chip cookies, bigger is definitely better. This giant cookie is slow cooked to golden perfection for your eating pleasure.
Instruction tip
Tip:
If you prefer your cookies soft and chewy, replace half of the caster sugar with the same quantity of brown sugar.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Grease bowl of a 5.5L slow cooker. Cut 2 x 7cm-wide x 40cm-long strips of baking paper. Using strips, form an ‘X’ over base and up side of bowl.

Step 2 of 3

Place butter and sugars in a medium bowl and mix well to combine. Stir in egg and vanilla until combined. Stir in flour and baking powder until a dough starts to form. Stir in chocolate chips until a dough has formed.

Step 3 of 3

Spread dough evenly over base of bowl. Place a clean tea towel over top of bowl and secure with lid. Cook on high for 3 hours or until cookie edge is golden and puffed, and centre is almost cooked. Slice and serve.
