- 250grams dark chocolate, broken into squares
- 150grams unsalted butter
- 2tablespoons golden syrup
- 200grams rich tea biscuits
- 50grams raisins
- 50grams dried cranberries
- 100grams mini marshmallows
Description
These chocolatey treats are very rich, so be sure to cut them into small party-sized pieces.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Put the chocolate, butter, and syrup in a large, heatproof bowl and melt it over a saucepan of simmering water, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. When it has melted, cool slightly.
Step 2 of 5
Put the biscuits into a plastic bag and bash with a rolling pin until you have small, broken pieces.
Step 3 of 5
Mix the biscuits into the chocolate mixture. Next mix in the dried fruit and marshmallows.
Step 4 of 5
Grease an 18cm square baking tin with butter and line it with baking parchment. Turn the mixture into the tin and press it down firmly with the back of a spoon.
Step 5 of 5
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, before turning it out and cutting into 36 squares with a sharp knife. In warm weather, store these in the fridge.
