Description

Quick and easy Neapolitan pasta sauce to top your penne pasta or cook with your spinach and ricotta cannelloni.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Peel and dice the onion. Peel the garlic and crush. Sauté the onion and garlic in 2 tbs of olive oil in a pot.

Step 2 of 4

Once sautéed, add 4tbs of tomato paste. Mix in. Onion should be thoroughly coated and red. Cook out for a few minutes.

Step 3 of 4

Add tin of diced tomatoes. Bring to the boil then turn heat down to simmer.

Step 4 of 4

Add sugar to reduce the acidic taste. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot on top of pasta. Top with ricotta cheese or parmesan cheese or just cheese of your choice.
