  • 450grams pork mince, lean
  • 6 spring onions, 1/2 finely chopped, 1/2 sliced into batons
  • 170grams kimchi, divided, chopped, liquid reserved
  • 1tablespoons sesame oil
  • 100grams kale, finely sliced
  • 4tablespoons mayonnaise, reduced fat
  • 1teaspoons honey
  • 1tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 wholemeal burger buns, toasted

Description

These juicy, fiery kimchi burgers are bursting with flavour.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Place the pork mince in a large bowl with the finely chopped spring onions and 100g of chopped kimchi. Mix to form 4 patties.

Step 2 of 4

Brush the patties with oil and place in a large griddle pan on medium high heat. Cook for 6 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Add the kale and spring onion batons to the pan for the last 4 minutes to char.

Step 3 of 4

Whisk the mayonnaise with honey, soy sauce and a tablespoon of kimchi liquid.

Step 4 of 4

Spread the bottom half of the toasted buns with mayo, top with a burger patty, kale, spring onions and the remaining kimchi, place the top of the bun on and serve.
