  • 1 Cadbury® Caramilk® hot cross bun, split in half
  • 1/4 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 free range egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 2tablespoons chocolate fudge topping
  • 1 can whipped cream
  • 2 chocolate-shaped Easter bunnies
  • 4 mini Easter eggs
  • 4 raspberries
  • 1tablespoons icing sugar

Description

This Easter, use up Cadbury Caramilk hot cross buns in this easy chocolate mug cake recipe.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Place the base of the hot cross bun in the base of a 11/2 cup (375ml) microwave-safe mug.

Step 2 of 5

Combine flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Whisk egg and milk in a jug, then add to dry ingredients. Whisk egg mixture until combined and smooth.

Step 3 of 5

Pour egg mixture into prepared mug. Top with half of the mini marshmallows. Microwave on high for 11/2 -2 minutes, or until a bamboo skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Meanwhile, toast remaining bun top.

Top mug cake with half of the chocolate topping, then remaining mini marshmallows and chocolate topping. Decorate with whipped cream, chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs and raspberries. Top with toasted half of hot cross bun. Serve dusted with icing sugar.
