Instruction tip
Tip:Using chilled soda makes the batter light and crisp.
Method
Step 1 of 6
Place flours, baking powder, soda water and salt in a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
Step 2 of 6
Add chicken to flour mixture and toss to coat.
Step 3 of 6
Add enough oil to a large saucepan to come 4cm up side of pan. Heat oil over medium-high heat (to test when oil is ready, a cube of bread will turn golden in 15 seconds).
Cook chicken, in batches, for 3 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 4 of 6
Meanwhile, make kaleslaw kit according to packet instructions.
Step 5 of 6
Heat extra oil and honey in a large frying pan over medium heat until bubbling. Add chicken and toss to coat.
Step 6 of 6
Divide kaleslaw and chicken among bowls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion, and serve with lime wedges.
