Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.

Step 2 of 4

Using an electric mixer, beat butter and caster sugar until light and creamy. Place golden syrup and milk into a microwave safe jug. Heat for 20-30 seconds on high until hot. Stir in bi carb soda. Mixture will bubble up.

Step 3 of 4

Add warm milk mixture to butter mixture and stir until well combined. Sift flour over batter mixture, mixing well.

Step 4 of 4

Roll 2 teaspoon measurements at one time, roll into balls. Place onto baking trays, gently press biscuits down with a floured fork. Top with dark chocolate melts and bake in oven for 8 minutes. Leave biscuits to cool on trays for about 4 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Once biscuits are completely cool, store in an airtight container up to 4 days.
