  • 1/2 cup Woolworths wholemeal plain flour
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup Macro natural seed mix with pine nuts, toasted
  • 2/3 cup Woolworths sweetened and tart cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 2/3 cup Woolworths Greek-style natural yoghurt
  • 1 egg

Kickstart your day with these nutritionally-approved bircher biscuits made of oats, seeds, cranberries and Greek-style natural yoghurt. They make the ultimate healthier on-the-go breakfast treat.

Prepare these biscuits ahead and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Bring them to room temperature before serving.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease and line two baking trays with baking paper. Process oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, 3/4 cup seed mix and ⅓ cup cranberries until coarsely chopped. Transfer to a bowl. Make a well in the centre.

Step 2 of 2

Whisk yoghurt, egg and ½ cup water in a jug. Add to the flour mixture. Mix well. Roll mixture into 12 equal balls. Place on prepared trays. Flatten slightly. Press remaining seed mix and cranberries into the surface. Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden-brown. Cool on trays.
