  • 1 bunch parsley, fresh, leaves picked, chopped
  • 1 large lemon, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 medium red onion, peeled and diced
  • 1teaspoons oregano, dried
  • 1/2 medium green chilli, chopped
  • 1tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 600grams tuna steaks
  • 300grams mixed leaf salad (to serve)
  • 3/4 cup chimichurri (to serve)

Description

Fiery chimichurri sauce is so simple to whip up and cuts through rich tuna steak perfectly.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Add the parsley, lemon juice, garlic, red onion, oregano, chilli, red wine vinegar and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a food processor and blitz to a coarse mix. 

Step 2 of 2

Brush the remaining oil on the tuna steaks and cook in a large griddle pan on medium high heat for 2 minutes on each side. Rest for 5 minutes and serve with chimichurri and salad, if desired.
