- 2/3 cup milk
- 450grams light brown sugar
- 115grams butter

Description
Condensed milk is the secret to simple and deliciously creamy fudge and you don't even need a sugar thermometer.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Place all of the ingredients except the vanilla in a large, heavy bottomed saucepan on low heat. Cook gently to melt the butter and sugar, stirring.
Step 2 of 4
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 10-15 minutes and making sure it doesn't catch the bottom of the pan. The mixture should be golden and thick. Stir in the vanilla.
Step 3 of 4
Fill a glass with ice cold water and drop a little bit of the mixture in. If it forms a soft, smooth ball and doesn't stick then it is ready.
Step 4 of 4
Using a wooden spoon, vigorously beat the fudge until it is no longer shiny and glossy, about 5 minutes. Spoon the mix into a parchment lined pan, smooth out with a spatula and place in the fridge to set before slicing into 36 squares.
