- 500grams fresh Medjool dates, pitted
- 50grams unsalted butter, melted
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 20 unsalted macadamia nuts
- 100grams dark chocolate, melted
- 2tablespoons pistachio kernels, finely chopped
- 100grams white chocolate, melted
- 2tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted

Description
For an easy and beautiful Eid gift, these deliciously decorated date truffles are hard to beat.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place dates, butter and ½ cup cocoa powder in a food processor and blitz until smooth. Using damp hands and working with 1 heaped tbs at a time, shape date mixture into 18 equal balls. Flatten each ball slightly and add a macadamia nut, then reshape mixture into a ball to enclose macadamia. Repeat with remaining balls and nuts. Place on prepared tray. Chill for 30 minutes or until firm.

To make 6 dark chocolate & pistachio truffles, use 2 forks to hold a ball, then dip it in dark chocolate to coat before allowing any excess to dip off. Place on baking paper. Sprinkle with pistachio. Let set.
Step 3 of 4
To make 6 white chocolate and almond truffles, use 2 forks to hold a ball, then dip in white chocolate to coat before allowing any excess to dip off. Place on baking paper. Sprinkle with almonds. Let set.
Step 4 of 4
To make 6 cocoa truffles, place remaining cocoa powder on a large flat plate and roll date balls in cocoa to cover.
