For the garnish
  • 40grams shortbread biscuits, broken
  • 1/3 cup vanilla custard
  • 100grams dark chocolate
  • 4teaspoons Kahlua
  • 1/3-plus 1 tsp cup whipped cream, whipped
  • 100grams sponge fingers
  • 4 shots espresso coffee, roughly 0.5 cup of good coffee

Description

An indulgent and creamy dessert with the taste of mocha.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Heat up a pot to a medium heat and and melt the chocolate with the custard. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Step 2 of 5

Prepare your individual pots or 1 large bowl by layering as below. At the base, place the sponge fingers.

Step 3 of 5

Pour the coffee onto the sponge fingers. Next pour in your custard and chcolate mixture.

Now whip the cream with the kahlua and place that on top of the custard and chocolate.

Step 5 of 5

Garnish with broken shortbread biscuits and serve or allow to set in the fridge.
