  • 450grams cheeseburger flavoured beef sausages
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced into rings (thinly sliced into rings)
  • 90milliliter tomato sauce, to serve (to serve)
  • 5milliliter extra virgin olive oil spray
  • 60milliliter American mustard, to serve (to serve)
  • 6 brioche hot dog buns

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat a barbecue or chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Cook sausages, turning regularly, for 8 minutes or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Step 2 of 3

Lightly spray onion slices with oil, then cook in same pan for 2 minutes on each side or until charred.

Step 3 of 3

To assemble, cut sausages in half lengthways. Place in buns and top with onion and pickle. Squeeze over mustard and tomato sauce. Serve.
