- 256grams Oreo original biscuits
- 200grams Woolworths candy canes
- 790grams Woolworths sweetened condensed milk
- 2teaspoons vanilla bean paste
- 600mL Woolworths thickened cream
Description
A refreshing festive dessert that combines the classic flavours of peppermint and vanilla, this cheat's candy-cane ice-cream will go down a treat with other Christmas sweets.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Grease and line a 10x20cm (base) loaf pan with baking paper. Using a large sharp knife, coarsely chop biscuits. Reserve 1/4 cup chopped biscuits for topping.
Step 2 of 4
Place candy cane in the centre of a large sheet of baking paper. Fold up the sides to enclose. Using a rolling pin, gently pound until coarsely crushed. Reserve 1/4 cup crushed candy cane.
Step 3 of 4
Using an electric beater, beat condensed milk, vanilla and cream in a large bowl for 3-5 minutes or until mixture is thick and creamy.
Step 4 of 4
Spoon cream mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle reserved biscuit and reserved candy cane over top. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight until set. Serve.
