  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small butter lettuce
  • 2 red onion, 1 finely chopped, 1/2 sliced
  • 2tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2-3teaspoons cajun spice BBQ seasoning
  • 8 sourdough rolls
  • 1kilograms premium beef mince
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 225grams can sliced beetroot
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs

Method

Step 1 of 4

Mix mince, onion, seasoning, parsley, sauce, egg and breadcrumbs together in a bowl until well combined. Roll into balls and flatten to rissoles.

Step 2 of 4

Pack into a container, layering a square of baking paper between each rissole.

Step 3 of 4

Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat. Brush rissoles with oil and cook, turning regularly, for 8 minutes or until well browned and cooked through.

Step 4 of 4

Split rolls in half. Fill with lettuce leaves, tomato and beetroot. Top with rissoles and slices of red onion.
