- 500grams unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar

Method
Step 1 of 2
Beat butter and sugar together in a large bowl of a stand mixer until creamy. Add milk and beat until combined. Stir in flour until combined. Divide dough into 4 equal portions.
Step 2 of 2
Preheat oven to 170°C. Roll heaped tablespoonfuls of dough into balls and place on baking paper-lined trays. Use back of a fork to press down on dough to flatten or make a deep indent using your thumb in dough, if making jam drops. Bake for 15 minutes or until pale golden. Cool on trays for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store biscuits in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
