  • 450grams Macro firm tofu, halved horizontally
  • 2tablespoons cornflour
  • 1teaspoons Chinese five spice
  • 1teaspoons sea salt flakes
  • 1/2teaspoons dried chilli flakes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 spring onion, thinly sliced
  • 400grams Woolworths Korean-style salad kit
  • 1 lime wedges
  • 5mL extra virgin olive oil cooking spray

Description

Impress without the hassle with this easy salt and pepper tofu bowl. Crispy air-fried tofu takes centre stage, complemented by a vibrant Korean-style salad bursting with fresh flavours.

Cooking tip:
If you don’t have an air fryer, shallow-fry the tofu in a frying pan by adding vegetable or peanut oil to a depth of 4cm. Heat the oil and cook tofu until golden. Drain on paper towel.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat a 5.75L air fryer to 180°C. Pat tofu dry with paper towel. Cut into 2.5cm cubes.

Step 2 of 4

Combine cornflour, five spice, salt, chilli flakes and 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper in a large bowl. Add tofu. With clean hands, toss until well-coated. Place tofu, in a single layer, in the air-fryer basket. Spray with oil. Cook, tossing halfway through, for 15 minutes or until crisp and golden.

Add garlic and onion to basket. Toss to combine with tofu. Cook for 2 minutes. Season.

Step 4 of 4

Divide salad among serving bowls. Sprinkle with noodle sachet from salad kit. Top with tofu. Drizzle with dressing. Serve with lime.
