  • 2tablespoons thousand island dressing (for secret sauce)
  • 1 pinch garlic powder (for secret sauce)
  • 1tablespoons green tomato relish (for secret sauce)
  • 2tablespoons mayonnaise (for secret sauce)
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 brioche bun, halved
  • 1 vegie patty
  • 1 pinch sea salt ground (to taste)

Method

Step 1 of 5

Preheat the flat grill side of a barbecue to high.

Step 2 of 5

Brush the veggie patty with oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook on heated grill for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for a further 3-4 minutes or until well coloured.

Meanwhile, to make the secret sauce, combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

Toast cut halves of the brioche bun on the flat grill side of the barbecue for 1 minute or until toasted. Place cheese on the veggie patty and allow to melt slightly.

Step 5 of 5

Place cooked veggie patty and cheese on bottom brioche half. Assemble burger with lettuce and tomato. Drizzle with secret sauce. Place remaining brioche half on top and serve.
