- 1 cup thickened cream, whipped
- 50grams butter
- 1 punnet strawberries, trimmed, sliced
- 1teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 450grams double unfilled sponge slab
- 1/4 cup caster sugar

Method
Step 1 of 3
Remove both sponge slabs from packet. Cut each in half through the centre to make 4 thin slices of sponge. Using a large star cutter, cut 2 stars from each slice, making 8 stars.
Step 2 of 3
Combine caster sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Heat half the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add half of the stars and cook for 2 minutes each side until golden and crisp. Remove from pan and dust both sides of each star with the cinnamon sugar. Repeat with remaining stars and cinnamon sugar.
Step 3 of 3
Place 4 stars on serving plates, top with strawberry slices and cream. Repeat with a second star layer and finish with cream and strawberries.
