  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 250milliliter sour cream
  • 1packets french onion soup mix
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 cobb loaf
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Simple party food.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Cut top off cob loaf. Use knife or hands to remove bread from the centre of the loaf leaving the crust intact. Set aside this bread for later

Step 2 of 6

In a bowl mix sour cream, cream cheese, shredded cheese, soup mix packet, spring onion finely chopped and thawed frozen spinach (squeeze out all excess water until it's dry)

Step 3 of 6

Fill Cobb shell with dip mixture and put lid back on. Wrap with foil completely and bake 10 mins at 180°

Step 4 of 6

Remove foil from cobb, take off lid and cut lid into small pieces. Place cobb back in oven uncovered and bake for another 10 mins.

Step 5 of 6

Add chopped up bread centre (removed in step 1) plus the chopped up bread lid to oven to crisp up. Bake for 5 mins and remove both bread pieces and cobb.

Step 6 of 6

Serve on a tray with cobb loaf surrounded by toasted bread pieces to dunk and eat. When you have used all the bread pieces you can start to break up the cobb shell.
