- 500grams ribeye steak
- 4tablespoons butter
- 1tablespoons canola oil
- 300grams mushrooms, brown mushrooms sliced
- 200grams potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/3 cup beef stock
- 2 cups cream
- 4 medium shallots, sliced
- 1 pinch parsley (for garnish)
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 2tablespoons paprika
- 1 pinch salt
- 1teaspoons cracked black pepper
- 2-plus 4 extra tsp cup white wine
Description
This classic recipe has the warm and smoky flavour of paprika which compliments the beef perfectly.
Method
Step 1 of 3
In a pan, sear the ribeye steak for two minutes on each side, then set aside. And a tbs of canola oil to a heated pot, then add shallots and mushrooms and saute for 6 minutes.
Step 2 of 3
Add the garlic, wine and paprika to the pan and cook for a further 2 minutes. Add the stock and and cream and continue to cook for 10 minutes while stirring to reduce the sauce.
Step 3 of 3
Cut the steak intp strips, removing any fatty bits. Add the steak strips to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes before serving with the potatoes on the side with parsley to garnish.
