  • 40grams butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup continental parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup light sour cream
  • 1teaspoons paprika
  • 2tablespoons tomato paste
  • pepper (for seasoning)
  • 800grams lean beef, diced
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 200grams can sliced mushrooms in butter sauce
  • 1 pinch pink salt ground (to taste)
  • 300grams green beans, steamed (to serve)
  • 400grams baby potatoes, steamed (to serve)

Method

Step 1 of 4

Combine flour and paprika and season with salt and black pepper. Toss diced beef in flour to coat.

Step 2 of 4

Heat butter and oil in a frying pan. Cook onion until soft and golden. Remove onion from pan using a slotted spoon. Increase heat to medium-high and cook beef in batches until golden.

Step 3 of 4

When all of the meat has been cooked, return it to pan with onions. Stir in tomato paste and mushrooms. Stir until combined. Bring to the boil. Cook for 5 mins until beef is tender.

Step 4 of 4

Stir in sour cream. Heat until melted through sauce. Do not boil. Spoon onto plates, sprinkle with parsley. Serve with the steamed vegetables.
