- 1kilograms pork shoulder, diced
- 20grams butter
- 1 large onion, peeled and sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 3tablespoons plain flour
- 2 cup cider
- 1 2/3 cup chicken stock, hot
- 2teaspoons wholegrain mustard

Description
This slow cooker pork and cider casserole is warming comfort food, perfect with a side of mashed potatoes.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat half of the oil in a large pan and seal the pork on all sides, working in batches. Remove with a slotted spoon and place in the slow cooker. Heat the rest of the oil and butter and cook the onion for 8-10 minutes to soften.
Step 2 of 3
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, sprinkle over the flour and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the cider and stock, scraping the bottom of the pan. Stir in the mustard and pour into the slow cooker.
Step 3 of 3
Cook on low for 6 hours, until the pork is tender.
