Description
Cooler days call for hearty meals – and this recipe is just the ticket. What could be more comforting than a savoury mince pie with crusty garlic bread?
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat oil in a 28cm round (top measurement) oven-proof frying pan over medium heat. Cook onion, celery and carrot for 7 minutes, stirring, or until softened. Add garlic and beef, then cook for 5 minutes, breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon, or until light golden.
Step 2 of 3
Preheat grill to medium heat. Add Worcestershire and gravy to pan, then cook for 20 seconds, stirring, or until mixture is coated. Add stock and stir to combine. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until mixture has thickened. Top mixture with loaf slices, buttered-sides up.
Step 3 of 3
Place pan on centre shelf and grill for 5 minutes or until bread is heated through and golden. Stand for 5 minutes, then serve sprinkled with parsley.
