  • 2 multigrain bagels, each sliced crossways into 4 rounds
  • 2tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1tablespoons garlic granules
  • 560grams skinless salmon fillets
  • 1tablespoons Woolworths extra virgin olive oil
  • 125grams spreadable light cream cheese
  • 3 lemons, 1 juiced, 2 cut into cheeks
  • 1 bunch dill, 1/2 finely chopped, 1/2 fronds picked
  • 120grams baby rocket leaves
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 2tablespoons drained baby capers

Description

Turn the classic salmon bagel on its head with this super salad recipe of sesame- and poppy seed-crusted salmon, crispy bagels and cream cheese dressing.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Preheat grill to high. Place bagel slices on a baking tray. Grill for 2 minutes on each side or until golden and crisp. Set aside.

Meanwhile, combine sesame seeds, poppy seeds and garlic in a shallow bowl. Pat salmon dry with paper towels, then coat both sides of salmon in seed mixture.

Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 2 minutes on each side for medium or until cooked to your liking.

Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, lemon juice and chopped dill in a small bowl. Add cup water and stir until combined. Season with pepper.

Step 5 of 5

Divide rocket, cucumber and onion among bowls. Top with salmon, dressing, capers and dill fronds. Serve with bagel crisps and lemon cheeks.
