2 Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 225grams cold butter

Method

Step 1 of 2

Sift flour and 1/2 tsp salt into a large bowl. Add butter and, using your fingertips, rub butter into flour – there will be small lumps of butter. Make a well in the centre, add 1/3 cup chilled water and stir with a fork until just combined.

Step 2 of 2

Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly until mixture forms a dough. Shape dough into a 12cm square. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
