  • 500grams green beans, trimmed
  • 1 clove garlic, finely grated
  • 2 lemons, 1 zested and juiced, 1 cut into wedges
  • 1teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 bunch basil, leaves picked
  • 1/2 cup aioli

Description

Crisp green beans combined with a wonderful garlic and lemon flavour provides a nice punch as a side dish.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add beans and cook for 2 minutes, or until bright green. Drain and refresh under cold running water.

Step 2 of 3

Add beans to a large bowl. Add garlic, lemon zest and lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir to combine.

Step 3 of 3

Transfer beans to serving platter. Sprinkle over basil and serve with bowl of aioli.
