  • 5milliliter extra virgin olive oil cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup Woolworths peri peri-style panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Woolworths Greek-style natural yoghurt
  • 750grams Woolworths RSPCA Approved chicken drumsticks
  • 280grams Kraft Easy Mac classic cheese
  • 450grams Woolworths smoky BBQ slaw kit
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced

Description

Combining finger-licking chicken drumsticks with a tangy apple slaw and creamy macaroni cheese, this low-cost dish will hit the spot.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 220°C/180°C fan-forced. Place a wire cake rack over a baking tray. Spray rack with oil. Place breadcrumbs and yoghurt in separate shallow bowls. Add chicken to yoghurt to coat, then cover in breadcrumbs. Place on wire rack. Spray with oil. Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked through and golden-brown.

Step 2 of 4

Meanwhile, empty pasta sachets into a large 10-12-cup-capacity microwave-safe bowl. Add 680ml cold water. Microwave on high for 12 minutes. Remove and add contents of cheese sachets. Mix thoroughly until well combined. Season with freshly cracked black pepper.

Step 3 of 4

Place slaw, dressing and apple in a large bowl. Toss to combine.

Step 4 of 4

Serve chicken with pasta and slaw.
