  • 3 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed and quartered
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 2tablespoons butter
  • 2tablespoons light dairy spread
  • 3 rasher bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 5milliliter virgin olive oil spray
  • 2tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 1kilograms potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1teaspoons dried mixed herbs
  • 2 cup beef stock
  • 3/4 cup low-fat milk
  • 750grams extra lean beef mince
  • 3 cup frozen baby peas

Method

Step 1 of 5

Cook onion and bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until brown.

Step 2 of 5

Increase to high, add mince and cook until browned. Stir in flour and herbs and cook for 2 mins. Add sauces and stock. Simmer for 10 mins until thickened. Cool.

Step 3 of 5

Preheat oven to 220°C. Boil potato for 10 mins until tender. Drain and mash. Add butter and milk and beat until smooth.

Step 4 of 5

Microwave peas on HIGH for 3 mins. Roughly mash.

Step 5 of 5

Press pastry sheets into Texas muffin tins, overlapping sides to fit. Fill with 1/4 cup of the mince, top with some of the peas and the mashed potato. Spray with oil spray. Bake for 30 mins until golden.
