For the batter
  • 140grams plain flour
  • 1teaspoons cumin
  • 1teaspoons tumeric powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large white onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large mango, peeled, de-seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 small green chilli, de-seeded and sliced
  • 1 small red chilli, de-seeded and sliced

Method

Step 1 of 7

In a mixing bowl, combine all of your batter ingredients but incrementally add the flour until its a thick batter.

Step 2 of 7

In a separate bowl, combine the onion with the mango and chillies.

Step 3 of 7

Now combine both bowls fully together.

Step 4 of 7

Heat up a pan suitable for shallow frying.

Step 5 of 7

Separate the pakoras into your desired shape and size.

Step 6 of 7

Shallow fry for 6 minutes while turning halfway.

Step 7 of 7

Remove from the heat and allow some of the excess oils by placing on some kitchen paper.
