- 3 onions, sliced
- 4 kransky sausages*
- 2tablespoons tomato sauce (to serve)
- 3/4 cup apple cider
- 1 cup swiss-style cheese, grated
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 2tablespoons mustard (to serve)
- 4 hot dog bread rolls

Method
Step 1 of 4
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring regularly, for 10 minutes or until onion softens and begins to brown.

Add cider, bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until liquid has reduced by half and onion has coloured slightly.

Meanwhile, heat a chargrill or barbecue to medium heat and cook kranskys, turning regularly, for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 4 of 4
Insert a kransky into each hot dog roll. Top with onion and cheese. Drizzle with mustard or sauce and cornichons. Serve.
