  • 2 Woolworths brioche hot cross buns with Cadbury milk chocolate
  • 2tablespoons hazelnut spread
  • 2 coffee shots
  • 1/4 cup milk, frothed

Description

Take your morning brew in a whole new Easter-inspired direction, with crisp hot cross buns and a bit of creativity.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Using a small sharp knife, trim tops from buns. Reserve lids.

Step 2 of 4

To make each “cup”, use fingertips to press bun down and out to mould into a cup shape with equally-thick sides. (Make sure there are no thin areas or cracks so coffee doesn't spill out.)

Step 3 of 4

Place bun cups and lids on the prepared tray. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly. Using the back of a spoon, spread inside of cups with hazelnut spread, reaching all the way to the top edge of bun.

Step 4 of 4

Place cups under coffee machine and fill each with a 30ml (11/2 tbs) shot of coffee. Froth milk and pour into coffee to create coffee art. Serve lattes with reserved lid.
