  • 2 free range eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 40grams unsalted butter, chopped
  • 360grams Woolworths Free From Gluten apple & cinnamon hot cross buns
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 125grams raspberries

Description

Hop into Easter with this coeliac-friendly version of French toast, made out of hot cross buns. Pick your favourite bun flavour and get creative!

Method

Step 1 of 3

Whisk eggs and milk together in a large bowl until combined.

Step 2 of 3

Heat half of the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cut each bun in half horizontally. Add half of the buns to egg mixture, turning to coat. Cook buns for 2 minutes on each side or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover loosely to keep warm. Repeat with remaining butter, buns and egg mixture.

Step 3 of 3

Divide buns among plates. Drizzle maple syrup over buns and top with raspberries. Serve.
