- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 bunch coriander, leaves picked
- 1tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 Woolworths indulgent apple & cinnamon hot cross buns
- 5mL extra virgin olive oil cooking spray
- 1tablespoons sesame seeds
Description
A savoury take on your hot cross buns? Yes, please. The sweet fruitiness of hot cross buns pairs effortlessly with juicy pork and tangy apple in these slider-like stuffed snacks.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add mince and cook, stirring with a spoon to break up any lumps, for 5 minutes or until browned. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Remove from heat. Coarsely chop half of the coriander. Stir onion, coriander and soy sauce into mince mixture. Cool slightly.
Step 2 of 3
For each bun, using fingers, press into the side and push bread to create a pocket. Spoon ¼ of the pork mixture into bun, flatten slightly. Spray tops with oil, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 3 of 3
Cook buns in a 5L air fryer at 200°C for 5 minutes or until golden. Serve sprinkled with remaining coriander.
