Description
Make juicy patties from scratch, then stack your burgers high with classic toppings like cheese, bacon and secret sauce.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Grate three-quarters of the onion. Finely chop remaining and reserve. Place mince, breadcrumbs, grated onion, egg and barbecue sauce in a large bowl, mixing well to combine. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions, then shape into patties.
Step 2 of 3
Heat oil in a large frying pan, then add patties and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through. Reduce heat to low. Top each patty with a slice of cheese and cook for a further 1 minute or until cheese begins to melt.
Step 3 of 3
Place bun bases on a serving board. Top with lettuce, tomato, patties, bacon cucumber and reserved onion. Drizzle with burger sauce then sandwich with bun tops. Serve with fries.
