  • 2/3 cup Woolworths brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup golden syrup
  • 50grams unsalted butter
  • 300milliliter thickened cream
  • 1/2teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1teaspoons mixed spice

Description

This seven-ingredient gingerbread syrup can be doubled or tripled to make Christmas gifts. Just add some ribbon to the jar and party on!

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place sugar, syrup and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until sugar has dissolved.

Step 2 of 3

Add cream and spices. Continue to cook for 12 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Step 3 of 3

Remove from heat and allow sauce to cool for 5 minutes before pouring it into a sterilised glass jar. Store the sauce in the refrigerator.
