- 200grams beef fillet steak, 2.5cm thick
- 1teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1teaspoons grated lime zest
- 20 filo tartlets
- 1 red chilli, sliced (to garnish)
- 1tablespoons light soy sauce
- 1tablespoons lime juice
- 1tablespoons fish sauce
- 1/4teaspoons sugar
- 15grams coriander, leaves stripped
- 25grams mint, leaves stripped (save 10g to garnish)
- 1/4 red capsicum, finely diced
- 1 tomato, seeded and diced
Description
Melting mouthfuls of beef are tossed in a delicious combination of Asian flavours. Seed the chilli for the garnish, if you prefer.
Method
Step 1 of 2
Sear the steak in a hot pan on both sides, 6 minutes in total. Cool and cut into 20 slices.
Step 2 of 2
Toss the steak slices with the soy, lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, fresh herbs, capsicum, tomato, sesame seeds, and lime zest. Divide steak slices among the filo tartlets. Garnish with red chilli and mint leaves.
