  • 420grams can cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1/2teaspoons dried chilli flakes
  • 100grams middle bacon rashers, finely chopped
  • 2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 400grams can diced Italian tomatoes
  • 2teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 2tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1tablespoons molasses

Method

Step 1 of 2

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, bacon and chilli flakes. Cook for 5 minutes or until bacon is golden.

Step 2 of 2

Add tomatoes, maple syrup, vinegar, molasses and mustard. Stir to combine and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5 minutes or until lightly thickened. Add beans and cook for 15 minutes or until softened. Season before serving.
