Description

This easy-to-make stir-fry brings together tender pork, light and fresh greens, and chewy millet. Sweet and spicy, it's perfect for a quick yet flavour-packed lunch or dinner.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Place the honey, soy sauce, and 5-spice powder in a bowl and mix to combine. Add the pork and mix until well coated. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and place in the fridge. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.

Step 2 of 4

Place the millet and 125ml water in a large saucepan and bring to the boil. Then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and the millet is cooked through. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Step 3 of 4

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium-high heat. Add the pork and marinade to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the pork is cooked through. Do this in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Step 4 of 4

Increase the heat to high and add 65ml of water to the pan. Stir to mix with any marinade left in the pan and bring to the boil. Then add the spring greens and pak choi and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender. Return the pork to the pan and stir in the millet. Stir well to combine and remove from the heat. Serve hot.
