- 240grams frozen prawn & chive wontons
- 188grams dried egg noodles
- 2tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- ginger, cut into 3cm-piece, peeled, finely grated
- 1 star anise
- 1.50L Woolworths salt-reduced chicken stock
- 1/4 cup salt-reduced soy sauce
- 1 bunch Chinese broccoli, trimmed
- spring onion, thinly sliced, to serve
- red chilli, thinly sliced, to serve
Description
Ready in 15 minutes, this easy wonton noodle soup recipe uses ready-made wontons for a fuss-free meal to beat the midweek dinner rush.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Cook wontons in a large saucepan of boiling water for 10 minutes, adding noodles in the last 3 minutes of cooking or until or wontons are cooked and noodles are tender. Drain. Divide noodles and wontons among bowls.
Step 2 of 3
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger and star anise, then cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until fragrant.
Step 3 of 3
Add stock and soy, then bring to the boil. Add broccoli and cook for 1 minute or until just tender. Remove and discard star anise. Ladle broth mixture over noodles and wontons. Serve topped with onion and chilli.
