- 2 cup salt-reduced beef stock
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 beef porterhouse steaks

Method
Step 1 of 2
Heat a chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Season steaks with sesame oil, salt and pepper. Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes each side for medium-rare. Remove from pan and rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

Meanwhile, place the sauces, ginger, vinegar, brown sugar, stock and 1 cup of water in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Add the carrot, then cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until just tender. Stir in sliced steak and spring onion. Divide among serving bowls. Garnish with chilli, if desired.
