  • 4 market value beef burgers
  • 180grams Woolworths haloumi, cut into 4 slices
  • 2teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 1/3 cup whole egg mayonnaise
  • 30grams baby rocket leaves
  • 2 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1/3 cup sweet chilli sauce

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper and arrange chips on tray. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Meanwhile, preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Brush burger patties and haloumi with oil. Season. Cook burgers for 4 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm. Cook haloumi for 2 minutes each side or until golden and tender. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm. Cook buns, cut-side down, for 1 minute or until lightly toasted.

Spread bun bases with mayonnaise and top with rocket, tomato, onion, haloumi, burger patties and sauce. Sandwich with bun tops. Serve burgers with chips.
