For the bulgogi sauce
- 1 medium pear, peeled, cored and diced
- 4tablespoons soy sauce
- 2tablespoons chilli flakes
- 2tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely diced
- 1tablespoons maple syrup
- 1teaspoons ginger, finely diced
- 1 small chilli, finely diced
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2tablespoons sesame oil
- 500grams beef mince, as little fat as possible
- 1 medium egg, free range
- 1teaspoons canola oil
- 1 small white onion, peeled and diced
- 4 brioche buns
- 4tablespoons panko bread crumbs
- 40grams pickled onions, store bought, drained and sliced

This burger delivers the flavour. The fruity, sweet and sour Korean flavours of Bulgogi really pack a punch
Method
Step 1 of 4
Heat up a pan to medium heat with the canola oil and fry the diced white onion 2 minutes while tossing. Remove from the heat and empty contents to a mixing bowl.
Step 2 of 4
Add the mince, egg and breadcrumbs to the bowl and combine fully. Once the mix is combined fully, pack the mince into 4 patties.
Step 3 of 4
Chargrill the burgers for 5 minutes on each side. In a pan on a medium heat, add all your bulgogi sauce ingredients and fry for 4 minutes or until the sauce starts to reduce and become thick and then remove from the heat.
Step 4 of 4
You can heat your buns up on the chargrill also for 1 minute or until nicely crisp on one side. Serve the burgers on the buns with pickled onions and bulgogi sauce.
