  • 1tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 medium red onion, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium white onion, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and diced
  • 2tablespoons fresh ginger, chopped
  • 3/4 cup beef stock
  • 3/4 cup passata
  • 280grams rice

This tomato based chilli dish is rich, deep and meaty.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Heat up a large saucepan to a medium heat and then add the oil.

Step 2 of 5

Fry the onions, garlic and ginger while tossing for 4 minutes.

Step 3 of 5

Add the beef and fry for a further 8 minutes while tossing.

Step 4 of 5

Add the rest of the ingredients, bring the heat to a simmer and allow to cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

Step 5 of 5

Remove from the heat and suggested serving with rice or naan breads.
