- 3 sheets puff pastry
- 800grams pie apples
- 2tablespoons brown sugar
- 1teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sultanas (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2tablespoons sugar (to sprinkle on top)
Description
Using ingredients from the pantry, when supplies are hard to source and the family want dessert.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Lay pastry sheets out to defrost and cut in half. While pastry is defrosting, mix apples, sultanas, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
Step 2 of 4
Divide the mixture evenly between the six pieces of pastry. Brush egg wash along one long edge. Roll up to seal. Cut in half.
Step 3 of 4
Place on baking tray. Brush the top with the egg. Sprinkle on the extra sugar. Place in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until pastry is golden in colour, and apples are cooked.
Step 4 of 4
Can be served hot or cold. As a dessert or a snack in your lunch box, morning or afternoon tea or any time. Enjoy.
