  • 120grams almonds, ground
  • 20grams ground macadamia
  • 1 medium egg, you only need the egg white
  • 80grams caster sugar
  • 1teaspoons honey
  • 1/2teaspoons almond essence
  • 25grams icing sugar

Description

Classic Italian biscuits with a deep flavour of almond.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg white until it starts to from peaks.

Step 2 of 6

Slowly add the caster sugar and keep mixing until it forms peaks again.

Step 3 of 6

Add the rest of the ingredients apart from the icing sugar until fully combined.

Step 4 of 6

Now divide the mix into about 10 small balls and set to one side to set for 20 minutes.

Step 5 of 6

Put the icing sugar in a bowl and cover the balls in icing heavily before placing on baking paper on a baking tray.

Step 6 of 6

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the biscuits start to brown or crack.
