Description
These homemade almond and date bars are tasty, healthy and simple to make.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Place 85g of dates in a medium bowl and cover with boiling water. Set aside for 15 minutes to soak, drain and tip into a large saucepan with almond butter, coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla. Cook on low heat until the oil has melted, remove from the heat and blitz until smooth with an immersion blender.
Step 2 of 4
Tip in the oats, desiccated coconut, chopped almonds, chia seeds and the rest of the chopped dates and mix well.
Step 3 of 4
Line a baking tin with parchment paper and spoon the mix in, pressing down with the back of a spoon to form an even layer. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
Step 4 of 4
Slice into 15 bars and serve.
