  • 300grams mixed mushrooms, washed, drained and sliced
  • 1teaspoons canola oil
  • 1 medium white onion, peeled and diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and diced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 300grams vegan pastry, store bought and chilled
  • 80grams vegan cheddar, grated
  • 1tablespoons chives, chopped

Description

These mushroom tartlets have a light crunch with cheesy topping.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Heat up a pan to a medium heat with the canola oil and fry the mushrooms, onions and garlic for 6 minutes while tossing.

Step 2 of 4

Roll out your chilled pastry and cut into 4 squares. Roll up the edges of the squares to create a small dip in the center for your filling.

Step 3 of 4

Transfer the fried vegetables into the center of each pastry and cover with the vegan grated cheese.

Step 4 of 4

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the pastry is nicely browned. Serve with chives to garnish and seasoning to taste.
