- 410grams peaches, drained
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1/2 baking powder
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1teaspoons vanilla
- 1 baking dish (1 x 23cm)
- 1tablespoons apricot jam
- 1 cup custard (to serve)
Description
This warm peach cake is a comforting dessert that’ll be a family favourite for every season.
Method
Step 1 of 6
Drain 1/2 a small tin of peaches. (Keep some for serving or another dish) and set aside.

Butter a 23cm baking dish and set aside. Heat oven to 175°C. In a medium bowl add in: SR flour, baking powder, raw caster sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, milk and vanilla, and whisk till a smooth batter.

Pour batter into your well buttered baking dish, level the top, and pop Into the 175°C oven for 5 mins.
Step 4 of 6
Take out carefully with a cloth, as dish will be hot. Pattern the top with the peaches, return to the oven for 20 mins till cooked, risen and golden.
Step 5 of 6
Once cooked, take out and brush over some apricot jam to gloss the top.
Step 6 of 6
Serve warm and enjoy with custard, cream and some of the kept peaches.
